Miley Cyrus Is Bringing 'Bangerz' to Arenas

Miley Cyrus picked an auspicious day to start her Bangerz tour: the singer will hit the road on Valentine's Day, February 14th, in Vancouver and continue through April 24th when she wraps up the North American leg at the Nassau Coliseum on Long Island.

Cyrus hinted in a cameo on Saturday Night Live a few weeks ago that a tour announcement was on the way. The "Wrecking Ball" singer was also the host and musical guest on SNL earlier last month in conjunction with the October 8th release of Bangerz.

She made the biggest waves, of course, with her performance on the MTV's Video Music Awards in August, when she twerked her way to notoriety with Robin Thicke on a medley of his "Blurred Lines" and her "Can't Stop" – a moment that Cyrus said afterward she knew would cause controversy. Indeed, it led to a parade of artists defending her, and criticizing her. Most notably, she exchanged barbed words online with Sinead O'Connor.

"I know what I'm doing. I know I'm shocking you," she later told Rolling Stone for a cover story that also involved her getting the name of the magazine tattooed on her feet.

Tickets for the Bangerz tour go on sale starting on November 16th, though a pre-sale for American Express card members begins November 12 and fans can RSVP on Facebook for early tickets.
