They weren't going his way
Former Patriots receiver Deion Branch had not been held without a catch since Week 12 of his rookie season (2002) before going catch- less in the Seahawks' season-opening 20-6 victory over the Buccaneers last Sunday. Branch is supposed to see his numbers grow this year as he moves to the "Z" receiver spot, and Seattle coach Mike Holmgren held himself accountable for the slow start. Holmgren also said he learned something about Branch. "He's a great young man," said Holmgren. "A lot of receivers in this day and age would have been upset, maybe kept it inside of him.
