Norwegian fighter jets bombed Muammar Gaddafi’s headquarters last night as part of the NATO operations in Libya.

NBC correspondent Richard Engel says the two F-16s attacked Gaddafi’s office in Tripoli, with the bombs hitting the Bab al-Azizia compound, where the peace talks between Mr. Gaddafi and the African Union took place on April 10th, along with a library.
According to a spokesperson for Libyan authorities, the attack was meant to kill Mr. Gaddafi, but US forces deny this statement. NRK reports three fatalities, with 45 wounded. Mr. Gaddafi survived the attack.
Norwegian military Communications Manager, Colonel Petter Lindqvist said he did not wish to give details about individual operations to protect the interests of pilots who carried out the mission, but told Dagbladet today, “I can confirm that the Norwegian aircraft took part in the operations last night.”
“This is a fairly intensive operation that pilots are now involved in, we do not want to associate individual planes and pilots in a small environment with single missions.”
According to the BBC, Col. Gaddafi’s son Saif al-Islam was highly critical of the “cowardly” attack on Monday night.
“I would like to say that it is possible this attack would scare young boys and girls. That's something, but we are not going to surrender or wave the white flag and we are not scared,"he told Libyan state television.
