Yotam Ottolenghi

Restaurateur

Once upon a time it looked like Jerusalem-born Yotam Ottolenghi was destined for journalism or academia. However, after one course at Le Cordon Bleu cookery school in London, he never looked back and today the multi-talented Ottolenghi is a force in all dimensions of the food industry. As chef, restaurant owner and cookery book writer, he plays an influential role over a large proportion of the business. His books Plenty and Jerusalem have both won a multitude of awards, including Best Cookbook, Best International Cookbook and the Award for Work on Food and Travel, and have sold 750,000 copies worldwide. He has opened three Ottolenghi delis around London, as well as his famous Soho-based restaurant, NOPI.
