Mishal Husain

Today Programme

One of the Today programme’s presenting team since 2013, Mishal Husain is also a familiar face on British television, having previously presented Sunday’s BBC News at Ten and reported live from around the world, as well as extensively for the BBC’s Olympics coverage. Husain studied Law in Cambridge and Florence and secured a job at Bloomberg Television after graduating. Not long after, she joined the BBC as a junior producer, where she has since worked her way up to become a regular presenter for BBC World News, Newsnight and Breakfast. On what is a very long highlight reel of her career, notable moments include interviewing Malala Yousafzai, challenging conservative clerics and reporting on the death of Osama Bin Laden.
