British Grand Prix

03.07.15 - 05.07.15
Silverstone, Northamptonshire

The British Grand Prix is considered one of the world's foremost motor racing events, and is also the oldest continuously staged Grand Prix along with the Italian race, dating back to 1949.

It is held at Silverstone Circuit in Northamptonshire, a former airfield, which has undergone several transformations. Silverstone used to be one of the fastest F1 tracks until it was modified in the early 1990s. Before the modifications, Keke Rosberg qualified for the 1985 Grand Prix at an average speed of over 255 kph - a world record.

Silverstone circuit is very flat, with a series of long straights, connected by open corners - some of the most famous in racing history. It is a physically demanding course, and overtaking is notoriously difficult.
