Reportedly 2013’s most Googled man, Martin Lewis is not only the founder of the UK’s biggest consumer and personal finance site, but also an influential journalist, broadcaster, author, campaigner and philanthropist. Educated at the London School of Economics, Lewis set up MoneySavingExpert.com in 2003 for a mere £100, and less than ten years later sold it to Moneysupermarket.com for the much-enhanced fee of £87 million. Today he remains editor-in-chief of his website, which attracts more than 14 million users every month. Lewis also presents prime-time ITV program The Martin Lewis Money Show and offers expert advice on programmes including This Morning and Good Morning Britain. He has also been lauded for his philanthropic work, having donated £11.1 million to charity.
