Gaming Vlogger

Better known as PewDiePie, Swedish-born Felix Kjellberg, a resident of Brighton, is the world’s pre-eminent gaming vlogger, reaching over 32 million subscribers in November 2014. His YouTube channel, which largely consists of Kjellberg’s commentary whilst playing video games, overtook RhiannaVEVO as the most watched channel of all time in July 2014, with a cumulative total of 5.2 billion views. Born in Gothenburg in Sweden, he started a degree in Industrial Economics and Technology Management but left in 2011 to concentrate on his YouTube career. In August 2014, in protest at the large web presence of spam and trolls, Kjellberg made the significant decision to disable comments on his videos. He has also launched his own iPhone app, which allows fans to watch and share clips and videos across social media.
