Fraser Nelson

Editor of The Spectator since 2009, Fraser Nelson read History at the University of Glasgow before gaining his journalism diploma at City University, London. In 1996, Nelson began working as The Times’ business correspondent and was political editor for The Scotsman. He joined The Spectator in 2006 as their associate and then political editor, as well as a political columnist for News of the World, earning him the title of Political Columnist of the Year in the 2009 Comment Awards. In 2013, Nelson was awarded Editors’ Editor of the Year by the British Society of Magazine Editors, the highest accolade in the British magazine industry, and in 2014 he was named Political Journalist of the Year at the British Press Awards. He is frequently cited as one of London’s most influential journalists.
