Born: 17 June, 1914, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania Died: 7 December, 2001, in Sequim, Washington, aged 87
A FORGOTTEN name from Hollywood's Golden Age, Pauline Moore appeared in more than two dozen films in the Thirties and Forties, opposite such luminaries as Henry Fonda, Shirley Temple and David Niven.
Largely confined to B-movies and second features, she gained a cult following as the psychic Eve Cairo in Charlie Chan At Treasure Island (1939) and made a spunky leading lady for King of the Cowboys Roy Rogers in five films.
Her beauty and sparkling voice were often remarked upon, but Hollywood failed to capitalise on either her good looks or talent and she later devoted herself to family life, public speaking and religious writings. …
