As a member of the Actor's Equity Association (AEA) and the Screen Actors Guild - American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA), Brenda's work can be seen and heard in theatre, film, commercials, industrials, voiceovers and video games.

For her Chicago stage work, Brenda's received three (3) Joseph Jefferson Award Nominations for Principal Actress in a Play and two (2) Joseph Jefferson Awards Nominations for Ensemble. Time Out Chicago revered her as an Essential Chicagoan and the Chicago Tribune penned her one of Chicago's Rising Stars.

Stage credits include the world premiere of The Downpour (Route 66 Theatre Company); Okay, Bye and Middletown (Steppenwolf Theatre Company); Julius Caesar and Elizabeth Rex (Chicago Shakespeare Theater); The Nutcracker and The Crownless King (as a company member with The House Theatre of Chicago); Memory, Aunt Dan and Lemon, How I Learned to Drive, Waiting for Lefty, and Beauty on the Vine (BackStage Theatre Company); The Ruby Sunrise (The Gift Theatre Company); the world premieres of Mrs. Caliban and Mariette in Ecstasy (Lifeline Theatre); the world premiere of Graceland (Profiles Theatre); A Streetcar Named Desire (Metropolis Performing Arts Centre); and the world premiere of Caravaggio (Silk Road Rising). As a stage actress, she's worked with directors: Jonathan Munby, Les Waters, Barbara Gaines, Michael Patrick Thornton, Matthew Reeder, John Gawlik, Matt Miller, Dale Heinen and Ann Boyd; she's worked with playwrights: Will Eno, Ellen Fairey, Christina Calvitt, Francis Limoncelli, and Laura Marks. She has participated in readings and workshops at the Steppenwolf Theatre Company, Chicago Dramatists, Route 66 Theatre Company, American Theatre Company and Lookingglass Theatre Company.

Television credits include co-starring in Chicago Code with Twentieth Century Fox, and performing in the films A Light Beneath Their Feet, Freudian Slip, Promise Land, L Train (Recipient of The Chicago Award & selected to screen at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival), and Mass Romantic (Best Short '09 Imagen Awards). She also performed the motion capture for Wonder Woman and Cat Woman in the video games Injustice: Gods Among Us and MK vs. DC Universe, as well as Kitana and Jade in Mortal Kombat
with NetherRealm Studios/Warner Bros.

Brenda received her BFA in theatre (cum laude) from the
University of Indianapolis and studied theatre at the University of Ulster, Northern Ireland.
