Ever since the news this past February that the live-action version of Robotech had come into the hands of production group Hollywood Gang, pre-production on the film has been moving forward at a pace we can only describe as, well, fast and furious.
Today it was announced James Wan, the director of the latest Fast and Furious film, Furious 7, will be directing the live-action Robotech film.

The cast for this July’s live-action Death Note TV series continues to grow.
The latest announcement is the casting of idol Hinako Sano who will play, appropriately enough, idol Misa, who, fans of the original will recall, devotes her life to Light Yagami.

It was revealed last month that Death Note, the uber-popular manga-turned-anime-turned-films-turned-musical, would also be getting a turn as a live-action TV series this July.
Now comes the announcement of the series’ principal cast members and a photo of them in costume.

The Next Generation Patlabor: Final Battle in the Capital is the final chapter of a series based on a well-remembered but not especially famous 90s anime series which was viewable only via limited theatrical release or seven Blu-rays retailing about $60. It’s also the direct sequel to an anime film released 22 years ago.
It’s less of a wonder that the film was a box office disaster than more that it sold any tickets at all.

Back in December we reported the manga Himitsu would be getting a live-action adaptation courtesy of Rurouni Kenshin director Keishi Otomo.
Now the casting for the main two characters, Maki Tsuyoshi and Aoki Ikkou has been announced.
