WE'VE moved!

The Telegraph is settling into its new home in the heart of Grimsby after more than a century on Cleethorpe Road.

We are now on the first floor of Heritage House on Fisherman's Wharf – right next to the Fishing Heritage Centre.

The signs are now up and we have all moved in – if you're popping in to see us, whether you want to place an advert, buy a back copy, or see a reporter, just enter through the main door and take the stairs or lift to the first floor where you will see our reception area.

We had been at Cleethorpe Road for 118 years, and we will now produce the Telegraph – Lincolnshire's only daily title – the monthly Target, the Journal series, and, of course, our highly successful website – www.grimsbytelegraph.co.uk from there.

We will be easier to access and right in the middle of where it's all happening as the town centre continues to develop and evolve.

Editor Michelle Lalor said: "This move marks a momentous occasion in the long history of the Grimsby Telegraph in North East Lincolnshire and it is very exciting.

"We remain the only regional daily title in Lincolnshire and one of the most successful in the country, with an equally successful website in the form of www.grimsbytelegraph.co.uk. And don't forget our Journal titles and the monthly free Target.

"Over the years our needs have changed, as have the requirements of all such newspaper titles in the UK, and that is one of the reasons we have taken the decision to move to modern, new offices.

We will continue to combine our print and digital offering to give our readers and viewers an unrivalled service.

"We look forward to welcoming you to Heritage House."

Our new phone numbers are:

Main switchboard: 01472 808000.

Advertising: 01472 808111.

Newsroom: 01472 808444.

Newspaper Sales: 01472 803555.

As we move, we are looking back at the history of the Telegraph since 1897 with a special 12-page pull-out in the paper on Thursday.

I wonder if you can use their car park (?) and nip into town?

Making way for the Town ground Gerry! It will be a great spectacle from those entering over the flyover and great traffic jams will ensue as people stop upon it to watch the watych the game for free on a Saturday afternoon! Ha would be a great location with nearby Rail and motorway links!

The mini roundabout on Corporation Road will soon need to be changed to traffic lights with all the extra traffic this move will generate.Good Luck Telegraph xxIt is a real pitty that we now get the local news the next day now and not like it was a few year ago when got the days news upto early afternoon before tea time, but then it was called the Grimsby Evening Telegraph. Not all things change for the good.

Cheers Gerry, best laugh I've had all day! Even if the complete section of Freeman Street from the Market up to Riby Square was flattened as you suggest (extremely unlikely), there is no way that the main route in to Cleethorpes would be removed and all traffic diverted through the town centre!!!

Interesting move this one. Does the Telegraph know something they are not reporting? With the high rise tower blocks due to come down and the retail units from Kent Street to the Market being fenced off it looks like major re-development is on the way. Does this involve the Cleethorpe Road buildings and the flyover? So why are we not told? We all know the answer to that one because contentious issues are never spoken when it involves NELC. And re-routing all traffic from the A180 at Lock Hill down towards the Parkway is contentious.

I'm not sure that it's a good idea for the Telegraph to be tracing its history over the last 118 years. What it has become will not stand comparison with what it used to be in its glory days. Two editions a day, the Grren 'Un with the sports articles and results on a Saturday, a staff of reporters who went out and found news or investigated stories, has degenerated into a rag that relies on tweeted reports from emergency services, articles of dubious veracity dredged from the internet, and forecasts of incomng violent weather that actually relate to places nowhere near North East Lincolnshire. 130mph hurricanes anybody? Oh, and the "More News" section on the website usually contains articles that are a week or more old. Not news any more, more like close to history.
