Andrew Schneider is executive producer and co-showrunner of the new NBC series “Chicago Med,” from Wolf Films and Universal Television.
Schneider received a B.A. in Russian literature from the University of California, Berkeley. He worked as a translator before becoming a writer and producer.
Schneider, in partnership with his wife, “Chicago Med” executive producer and co-showrunner Diane Frolov, won Emmy, Golden Globe and Peabody awards for their work on CBS’ “Northern Exposure.” Together, they also received an Emmy and a Writers Guild Award for their contributions on HBO’s “The Sopranos.”
Schneider and Frolov co-created and executive produced Showtime’s “The Chris Isaak Show” and created and executive produced WB’s “Easy Money.” They also served as co-executive producers on HBO’s “Boardwalk Empire” and most recently, were consulting producers on Amazon’s “Bosch,” based on the novels of Michael Connelly.
