It was Blue Suit Day yesterday for the entrepreneurs and technologists of Stellar Computer Inc. as the Newton startup company launched its maiden product in high-tech style.
An audience of about 200, including investment bankers, professors, businessmen, scientists and the press gathered at Boston's Musuem of Science to view "a new class of computer," dubbed the "graphics supercomputer" by Stellar.
Stellar's new computer, scheduled for shipment this month, combines the processing power of a minicomputer with sophisticated, 3-D graphics in a single, "deskside" workstation. The list price for the Stellar GS1000 is $98,000.
