CEO Dixons carphone

Seb James heads up Dixons Carphone, the result of the 2014 merger between Dixons Retail, where he worked previously, and mobile phone retailer Carphone Warehouse. The company includes Currys and PC World as well as electrical retailers in Norway and Greece, and reported a more than 20% boost in profits in 2015. Eton and Oxford-educated James was a Bullingdon Club contemporary of Boris Johnson and David Cameron, and implemented the strategy leading to a turnaround at Mothercare prior to joining Dixons, where he became group CEO in 2012. He was named Mobile magazine’s Person of the Year in 2015.
