Food and Drink
While Cantonese cuisine still dominates Hong Kong's thriving restaurant scene, influences from the West, Japan and South-East Asia also serve to inspire its talented chefs and restaurateurs. With locals often too busy to cook at home, dining and take-out are popular options, and from street-side dim sum to Michelin-starred destination restaurants, there is no shortage of choice for the hungry diner. The wine market in Hong Kong is also booming, thanks in part to a waiver on import duty and an interest in matching wines from the West and Australasia with Cantonese cuisine. Debrett's Food and Drink sector pays tribute to those most improving and influencing Hong Kong's wining and dining habits.
