Frost and even some freeze conditions expected across the region overnight. The combination of mostly clear skies, dry air and light wind, will make for a cold night with low temperatures in the low to mid 30s. If you have tender vegetation you wish to protect, do so. High pressure is over the region Wednesday, after a cold start, daytime highs are only expected to top out in the cool, mid to upper 50s. On Thursday, a cold front will approach and move across the Mid-Atlantic bringing some scattered showers. Mainly late afternoon and evening showers. At this time, rain amounts look fairly light, for many under a tenth of an inch. Mostly sunny skies return Friday, along with breezy conditions. The weekend forecast is now trending warmer with highs in the 70s. A weak front will cross late in the weekend and is expected to push through dry. A nice stretch of weather is expected into early next week. Monday, Halloween night is looking partly cloudy with trick or treat temperatures in the 50s.
