9.30 PM: THE HOUSE OF HERRERA SHOWS TO A FULL HOUSE OF GUESTS
Both brands under The House of Herrera, CH Carolina Herrera and Carolina Herrera showed their FW'13 collection to a full house of guests including front-row celebrities like Oli Pettigrew, Linda Black, Jade Seah, Rosalyn Lee and Sheila Sim.
Elegance was key for both collections, though there was more restraint at CH Carolina Herrera and more opulence, in the form of fur, at Carolina Herrera.
5.40 PM: ONG SHUNMUGAM NOMINATED FOR PRESIDENT'S DESIGN AWARD SINGAPORE 2013To add to the anticipation for the Ong Shunmugam show this Saturday, we're chuffed to share that its founder and designer Priscilla Shunmugam has been just nominated for the President's Design Award 2013!

The Singapore designer is in the running for the Designer Of The Year category in Singapore's most prestigious design award. Conferred to designers by the President of the Republic of Singapore, the contributions of 24 designers have been honoured at the award ceremony, since its inception in 2006. The last fashion designer to receive the honour is Paris-based Singapore designer Andrew Gn, in 2007.
Priscilla Shunmugam will be showing her Autumn-Winter 2013 as part of the Future Fashion Now and Parco Japan fashion showcase on Saturday, at 6pm, so mark that date and time for an exciting local fashion label to watch.
3.00 PM: AUDI FASHION FESTIVAL PRESS CONFERENCE AT ST. REGISThe Audi Fashion Festival 2013 was off to a roaring start today with Douglas Benjamin of Singapore label Raoul and designer Carolina Herrera both present at the press conference this afternoon.
During his conversation with host Colin McDowell on stage, Benjamin shared his thoughts on the future of Singapore's fashion scene. He felt that Cruise collections worldwide should make Singapore their launch destination, a thought that we couldn't agree with more.The next guest speaker was the ever-elegant Carolina Herrera. "Fashion should be for the everyday," said the designer. Her design approach is indeed pragmatic; Herrera added quite candidly that she "decided to make women more beautiful and men more handsome. That's my philosophy."
