LA JOLLA (KUSI) - Woman's World Record for the longest "open salt-water" scuba dive was set Saturday in La Jolla.
Diver Cristi Quill is the first woman to ever attempt to beat the record for longest scuba dive.
The current record is 51 hours and is held by a man in Egypt. Quill surpassed his 51 hour mark, but some final time calculations need to be finished before she can be named the overall World Record Holder.
Quill's mother died of breast cancer, so she plans to donate all the money she earned to the American Cancer Society.
