Production had started in Poland in 1968, with Fiat input and development to produce their cars under license. UK Imports started in 1974, badged as Polski-Fiat, mostly to appeal to budget conscious motorists. Renamed FSO in the early 80’s sales continued without much development in the design or technical specs until imports were phased out in 1996.
