Kelsea Ballerini is down with Joanne.

The 23-year-old country starlet recently uploaded an Instagram video showing off her vocal (and guitar) skills as she crooned through a gorgeous cover of Lady Gaga’s “Million Reasons,” the second official single from the pop icon’s fifth solo LP.

Ballerini recorded herself singing an acoustic take on the song’s first verse, putting a twangy spin on the country-tinged track, which was co-written by genre hitmaker Hillary Lindsey (Carrie Underwood’s “Jesus Take the Wheel,” Little Big Town’s “Girl Crush”), Mark Ronson (who produced a majority of Joanne), and Gaga.

“Gaga over this new Gaga,” Ballerini captioned the video. “And as always, bowing down to Hillary Lindsey writing the best songs.”

Originally intended to serve as a promotional single for Joanne, “Million Reasons” shot to No. 1 on the U.S. iTunes chart shortly after Gaga performed it on the Oct. 25 edition of James Corden’s Carpool KaraokeShe previously sang the tune during her Oct. 22 appearance on Saturday Night Live, where she also rocked through Joanne cut “A-YO” on the Studio 8H stage. Following the track’s performance on digital charts, Interscope upgraded the song to single status, and it will be released to pop radio this week.

Ballerini, whose 2015 debut album The First Time was certified Gold for moving over 500,000 units in the U.S., performed her hit “Peter Pan” on Wednesday’s Country Music Association Awards, where she was nominated for New Artist of the Year and Female Vocalist of the Year.
