In order to guarantee the success of an event such as the 48th Artistic Gymnastics World Championships – Doha 2018, the media coverage plays an important role.

Qatar has extensive experience in broadcasting major events that took place in the country; Asian Games 2006, AFC Asian Cup 2010, Arab Games 2011, 10th Artistic Gymnastics World Cup 2017 . These important and complex competitions contributed in building a strong bond between the Qatar Olympic Committee, National Federations, International Federations and host broadcasters.
The coverage of the 48th Artistic Gymnastics World Championships 2018 will take place in accordance with the International Gymnastics Federations standards and the LOC of Doha 2018 will offer the perfect partner to broadcast the event. It is worth noting that Qatar has only one-hour time difference from Europe, which will allow for a significant part of Gymnastics fans to enjoy this event from their homes.

This makes it possible for all participants to be as close as possible to the venue of the event.
Doha 2018 has the means to accommodate all athletes and team officials at the same hotel in the heart of the West Bay area.
The proposed hotels for the FIG family are of 5 stars standard (Four Seasons, Hilton, Grand Hyatt, St Regis) and offer extensive services (valet parking, conference hall, restaurants and bars, spa and swimming pools) with amazing views of the Arabian Gulf.

TRANSPORTATION
Connecting the World
Qatar is a major international hub for airlines around the world. Qatar’s main airport is Hamad International Airport (HIA), which is one of the most efficient in the world.
Because of its geographical location, Qatar offers many advantages. It is located within reasonable distance of European and Asian regions. Qatar Airways was voted Skytrax's Airline of The Year in 2011 – 2012, 2015 & 2017, making it one of the safest and most respected companies in the world. Its global coverage and its 196 aircraft allow it to offer direct and comfortable flights for all participants.
The airport is able to handle 50 million passengers per year, accessing over 157 destinations worldwide, and has the second largest capacity in the region. The new airport is a 15 minutes’ drive from Doha’s city center, where most of the hotels are located, including the proposed hotels for 2018.
Getting around Doha is easy either by bus or car. To further enhance the efficiency of the transport system, additional special shuttle bus connections will be provided throughout the 48th Artistic Gymnastics World Championships to meet the needs of all.
The competition and training facilities are within a maximum of 30 minutes from all major hotels in Doha, allowing participants and spectators to move quickly and efficiently.
