Luxair Group is to make extensive additions and changes to its route network over the coming northern winter season and into summer 2019.

The group, consisting of Luxair, Luxembourg’s flag carrier, and LuxairTours, its associated holiday operator, plans to make use of additional capacity—notably from spring 2019—to add both frequencies and several new destinations to its network.

Winter season 2018/19 will see its services to Paris Charles De Gaulle, Vienna and Milan Malpensa rise from three to four rotations daily, served by Bombardier Q400s. Its route to Dublin will be upgraded from a Q400 to a Boeing 737.

On the debit side, the carrier plans to close routes to Turin and Stockholm; Luxair said the entire Piedmont region of northwest Italy is readily accessible from Milan Malpensa, while Stockholm will remain accessible via Copenhagen, which is served 3X-daily.

Two new warm-weather leisure destinations will be added to its network for the winter season, Marrakesh (Morocco) and Ras Al Khaimah (UAE).

The summer 2019 season will see an additional weekly flight to Kos (Greece), Faro (Portugal), Antalya (Turkey), Naples and Palermo (Italy), Ibiza (Spain) and Malta.

New summer destinations will be Marsa Alam (Egypt), Split (Croatia) and Mahon (Spain).
