Save the date: International Men's Day New Zealand Aotearoa

Wednesday, September 05, 2018   Posted in: Resources and Information By: Administrator With tags: awareness, men, mens health, mental wellbeing, Relationships

Feel like sending kiwi guys some love?

After the Canterbury earthquakes, the Canterbury Men's Centre had a lot of people telling us how much they appreciated the practical skills men brought to the region. Men enjoyed being appreciated and people enjoyed appreciating men.

The Canterbury Men's Centre would like to take this national and are supporting a range of parties to mark the coming Monday 19th November as a special day to appreciate our men. If you or a friend/group you know would like to celebrate men on the day there are lots of ways to see that this happens:

  • Be informed by joining the NZ Men's Day Facebook page.
  • Email International Man's Day to receive email updates (info[at]internationalmensday.nz) with "International Men's Day Interest" in the Subject line.
  • Commit to being at a café/pub at some time on the 19th Nov and we will post it as a place to meet up (info[at]internationalmensday.nz) with "Being at a place on the 19th November for IMD" in the Subject line.

We aim to have 20 places in New Zealand for people to meet up on the day. It will be very simple.

Get more information on the International Man's Day NZ website.

Women can be involved to!

We really want and need women to be involved. So please be part of it. You would really make a guy’s day by telling others why you are fond of him. And karma is a beautiful thing.

Like the NZ Man's Day Facebook page and be involved in whatever way you would like, especially on the day.
