Today Twice announced via their official Twitter account, the release date of their fist Japanese album BDZ. The name BDZ stands for the English term “bulldozer,” which conveys feelings of strength and starting anew.
Although Twice has previously released Japanese versions of their Korean songs, this will be the first album that only contains Japanese -language original content. Their move into the Japanese market comes on the heels of ranking #2 on Billboard Japan's mid-year release of their 2018 Top Artists.
BDZ will feature a variety of songs, including earlier, Japanese hits such as “One More Time” and “Candy Pop,” both of which topped Japan’s Oricon weekly singles chart.
BDZ was produced by J.Y. Park and will be released September 12.
After their album release, Twice will launch their Japan Arena Tour in Chiba on September 29 and 30. They will continue in Aichi on October 2-3, Kobe on October 12-14, and Tokyo on October 16-17.
