BUMBLEBEE is a fantasy action film in which a robot takes refuge in a Californian town, where he is befriended by a teenage girl.

Violence

There are battles between the giant robots, in which they use powerful futuristic weapons and engage in hand-to-hand combat. The robots are occasionally damaged by weapons employed by human characters. There are additionally brief scenes in which humans are killed by robots, and which include men exploding in a shower of clear fluid. However, these scenes lack injury detail.

Sex

The film contains some mild sex references, including a scene in which a woman tells a man "You tried to sleep with my sister", and the man replies "Unsuccessfully".

Injury detail

There is brief limited injury detail in scenes in which humans are cut and bruised following encounters with the giant robots.

Language

There is mild bad language (for example, 'shit', 'crap', 'balls', 'screwed', 'dumbass', 'freaking', 'damn', 'hell', 'God', 'Jesus').

In one scene, a mother wrongly suspects her young son's behavioural change is due to the influence of drugs.

There is also a brief comic scene in which a boy vomits following a chase scene.
