MK City Discovery Centre

The aim of the City Discovery Centre (CDC) is to promote a greater appreciation and understanding of the historical, natural and built environments of Milton Keynes. It is an educational charity that tells the story of the New Town of Milton Keynes; its history and heritage from the earliest settlements to now.

They hold the Milton Keynes New Towns Archive and Reference Library on site and undertake a variety of lectures and tours in geography, environmental education, urban development and city planning for scholars/students and professionals from all over the world. They also provide experiential learning and re-enactments days for scholars making history come alive.

Throughout the year they hold various family and public open days on the Medieval Scheduled Ancient Monument site of Bradwell Abbey and host a variety of arts, music and cultural community / family events including Togfest, ProperStock, etc. The site also has art and nature trails including a number of Schottlander sculptures and other pieces public art.

Bradwell Abbey also offers unique historic venues for corporate, celebratory and community events or meetings.
