Indian Super League franchise Hyderabad FC and head coach Phil Brown have agreed to part ways, the club announced on Saturday.

Brown, who had been head coach of Pune City at the time of the franchise's dissolution, was later appointed the first head coach of the newly formed Hyderabad FC.

He was let go after a disastrous start to the season, which has seen Hyderabad win just one game out of twelve, losing nine and drawing two. With five points, they are rock bottom of the ISL table, six points off NorthEast United in ninth.

His last match in charge, on Friday, saw Hyderabad succumb to a 1-3 jhome loss to a rejuvenated Chennaiyin who themselves have had an upswing in form since the appointment of Owen Coyle as manager in December.

"We at the club would like to sincerely thank Phil for his efforts since joining Hyderabad FC. We have had some challenging times in the inaugural season and Phil led the team admirably. All of us at the club would like to wish Phil the very best in his future endeavors," said Varun Tripuraneni, co-owner of Hyderabad FC.
