Black Butler’s Latest Installments Come to Home Video in Book of Circus and Book of Murder! + Cast Announcement

We’ve got some big announcements today for Black Butler fans out there— new installments of the series are coming to home video, and we have your English dub cast announcement AND season 3 trailer!

Black Butler: Book of Circus is the newest season, completely based on the Noah’s Ark Circus arc from the original manga by Yana Toboso. See Ciel and Sebastian infiltrate a traveling circus and meet its glamorous performers—who all hold a dark secret. This is definitely one of the most shocking, emotional, and frankly beautiful installments yet in the Black Butler series.

The complete third season is being released on April 19. The Limited Edition Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack features a handsome chipboard box, as well as a premium disc packaging in the form of a long fold-out digipak that displays tons of detailed artwork from the covers of the original Japanese releases—definitely the release of choice for ultra-fans of Black Butler and its gorgeous art style.

We’ll also be releasing Black Butler: Book of Murder, a two-part OVA series about 2 hours long— think of these as two short movies. A murder mystery occurs at Phantomhive Manor, and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (yes, the author of the Sherlock Holmes series) shows up as a character. Pre-orders for Book of Murder will begin next week on our anime shop, and the OVA set will be released on Blu-ray/DVD Combo on May 17.
