UK Teenager Pleads Not Guilty to Hacking Companies

A teenage boy charged with computer misuse and a breach of bail has pleaded not guilty to using his mobile phone to hack into companies.

The 17-year-old teenager from Oxfordshire, who can’t be identified because he is a minor, appeared at a specialist London youth court on Monday.

Prosecutor Valerie Benjamin said in court that the boy had used a phone which he “didn’t have permission to have” to hack into companies, while “holding them to ransom” to gain access to software.
