A man has been killed in an alleged road rage incident after being hit by a ute in Western Sydney.
Police are appealing for information after a 27-year-old man was hit by a car on Jersey Road, Blackett, about 8:45am on Thursday.
The man, dressed in high visibility clothing, was treated by paramedics but died at the scene.
Officers at the scene are looking at a red parked car in the middle of the suburban street. (ABC News)
A crime scene has been established and detectives would like to speak with the driver of a utility vehicle that was seen in the area at the time.
Police say the driver fled the scene shortly after.
The car is a white utility with a metal tray and black canopy, and carrying a black toolbox and metal racks on its roof.
Anyone with dashcam footage, or CCTV vision has been urged to come forward.

Acting Inspector Shane Ranee said initial investigations led police to believe "the deceased felt threatened by a car following him".
"The victim got out of the vehicle after being threatened by the car following him," Acting Inspector Shane Ranee said.
"Police have been told the man was hit by a vehicle before it fled the scene."
Acting Inspector Ranee said the victim was found about 100 metres away from his car which police believe was caused by him being dragged by the ute.
He described the incident as "devastating" and urged the driver to hand himself in.
Debbie Cremen has lived in the neighbourhood for about 25 years, and says she has nearly been hit numerous times.
Debbie Cremen, a local resident of about 25 years, said the stretch of road was well-known to be "very dangerous".
"I worked on the crossing here and I'd nearly been hit numerous times," she said.
"I was walking children across and a car slammed into the street sign, or else the car would of hit me, and another car just ran straight into the back of it."
Ms Cremen said she was met with the confronting scenes of police trying to resuscitate the man.
"At the end of the day I have grandchildren that come, and this road's pretty notorious," she said.
