Texto indicado para iniciantes no aprendizado da língua alemã. Possui textos curtos de fácil compreensão e contextos interessantes, além do dicionário de termos usados facilitando o entendimento.
At first glance this book is not up to much - a load of chapters with a few words highlighted that are translated at the back. Yet I kind of found the story weirdly interesting, of an immgirant man struggling to find his way in Germany, talking about basic German things.
But mostly I am surprised how well I remembered a lot of the words and phrases. The book builds nicely towards improving ones German.
Estudié algo de alemán hace años y leer el libro supuso un buen método de recordarlo para empezar a ponerme al día de nuevo. No es útil para empezar desde cero, pero es muy útil para retormar el tacto del idioma después de un tiempo de desuso
I actually learnt a lot whilst reading this book, especially with the terms of the German grammar and how German is written. I felt like this was a little too easy to read for my skill. But I still overall enjoyed it, learnt quite a few new words and I can't wait to purchase the others in this series! Perfect for beginners, this will definitely help with reading and understanding the German language.
An entertaining read, laid out in a way where the meaning of the text is not lost amidst consultations with a dictionary. The entire series reads well together (I'm now reading the 6th), and there's a good amount of local customs sprinkled in as the character travels amongst several cities that both makes German culture come alive, and helps prepare a newbie for variants of the language.
My only wish would be that the German definitions be in a font size more comparable to the main text; they are hard to scan through, particularly with the nearly even mix of bold and regular weights, and a reader will need to consult them quite often.
