Maybe a fun stocking stuffer
I got this as a sample to see if it would be something my nephews would like. They are both very much into all those Marvel movies, so I thought this might hit home. First of all, the super colorful wrapping tears off as part of opening the package, which is too bad. However, the two halves of the ball, once opened, serve as stands for the Heroes, which is probably why the wrapping needs to disappear.There is a folded paper with instructions. Instead of starting with reading those, I took out all the objects, including the mysterious Thanos-stone (cool idea), and opened it to reveal another Hero. Having taken all the parts out of the plastic ball, I finally read the instructions, in which I learned the Thanos-stone should NOT be opened until sometime later in the game. (oops)The instructions are pretty easy to follow and I played a couple rounds of battles. Kind of fun, it's easy and quick and the Heroes make it fun. As a mom, I'm a bit concerned about the number of small pieces, wondering how long those will stay with the game. Nevertheless, I think this would be a fun toy maybe a step or two up from one of those you might find in a MacDonald's happy meal. Maybe a fun stocking stuffer for my nephews.
