This is my third Protection Plan from SquareTrade for purchases I have made on Amazon and I absolutely recommend these plans! I've had my first plan for over a year now and luckily I've never had to use one or file a claim since my devices continue to run well, but just the insurance of knowing that my purchases are protected if anything shall happen to them gives me great peace of mind. I always go with the longest Protection Plans because the price is affordable and the plans cover everything, especially since you never know what may happen to your electronics in 3 years. They have a mobile app and an online site where you can create a free account and manage/view all your protection plans right there to keep track of all your information. It is very convenient being able to open my app on my phone and view my protection plan's time remaining for my devices. I can also view the guidelines of what is covered and submit claims if needed right there online. No more worrying about keeping a piece of paper to ensure that your devices are protected, now you just need your own account and your protection plan is saved there forever for you to come back to. I highly recommend these protection plans for your devices. I am a person that believes it's better to pay a little more, knowing that your expensive devices are protected, rather than saving a few bucks now and having to pay a huge amount of money in the future if/when something unfortunate happens to one of your devices. Wouldn't you be happier knowing that if anything does happen in the future, you are 100% protected? That right there is why I purchase protection plans because the peace of mind is worth more to me than having to worry if something were to go wrong with one of my devices, not too mention the hassle and expenses you have to suffer when your device does break/malfunction and you have no protection plan.

I am always a little leery of buying extended warranties, they typically end up giving you nothing once you look into their very long list of exceptions, but this was WAY better than I expected. My son (and his little brothers) had managed to drop his kindle enough times that the screen had cracked in several places. Being a busy mom, quite frankly I didn't feel like dealing with calling and arguing with someone to get a new one, so I just let him play it slightly broken. At least until he dropped it one more time and ended up with a sliver of the glass screen in his thumb. Mom guilt kicked in, and I sucked it up and called the number (one small complaint there, I had to look up the information from my past purchases, and get a phone number from the product description, but I would gladly do it again), and was pleasantly surprised to get a very nice person, not once, but TRHEE times. I happened to call on Prime Day, and their system kept crashing, so after accepting profuse apologies and entreaties to call back so they could take care of it, I called back the next day, and in less than ten minutes had a replacement kindle coming in no more than 5 business days (it came in 3) and instructions on what to do with the broken one. I could NOT have asked for a better experience. This company was awesome, and in the future I will not hesitate to purchase a warranty from them.

For the people who were confused as to how it works (I was one of them), as soon as it ships, the warranty kicks in, there is nothing you need to do once you get it. There is nothing physical being sent to you. From what I gathered when I called, the warranty is linked to your amazon account, so they will just need the email address associated with your account, and the name of the device you need replaced (ie: Tom's First Kindle etc).

I am so glad I got this. My husband's first Kindle Fire Tablet was bought March 31, 2016 and delivered April 2,2016 and it totally stopped working on July 7,2016. So I called Amazon and Kindle and they would NOT honor their 3 month protection policy. There was NO reason for his tablet to quit working, he babies it all the time and he only used it at night sitting up in the bed. I only wanted them to honor the 3 month warranty b/c it was only 5 days past the warranty...so I fussed and fussed at the guy and told him that EVERY TIME I had EVER called Amazon they have helped me to my satisfaction, and Amazon almost lost me as a customer over this. I told him as a Supervisor (b/c I had to call 3 times to do everything they said about trying to reboot it and NOTHING worked. Then I had to ask for a Supervisor and he didn't want to make it good...finally AFTER BEING ON THE PHONE ALTOGETHER AN HOUR AND A HALF...he said he would credit me $10 towards a new one and I told him...YOU ARE A SUPERVISOR AND YOU HAVE THE AUTHORITY TO MAKE THIS KINDLE GOOD. I told him that if it had been out of warranty for a month or more I would understand him acting the way he did...but it had only been 5 days and it wasn't fair b/c my husband only used it at night about 4 to 5 hours a night, then charged it and waited until the night when he got home from work to use it again. Finally, it is 1:30 or later at night and I am "as a one time Courtesy" gave me a $20 credit...so I was a little happier than almost the 2 hours I had been on the phone with them. So anyway we got a new Kindle Fire for my husband and this time I got the 2 year extended warranty.

I ass-umed I would receive actual paperwork (in case of emergency=internet broke o.O) Any email sent to me regarding my purchase of this plan was promptly deleted (by me) due to my failure to read past the description of this plan. My kindles problem? It started as an app crash which froze the screen. But wait, theres more, I discovered the on/off was not working so I had to let the battery die, I recharged it to another level of ugh!! Upon reboot the screens touch sensor or whatever u call it went berserk. For example this keyboard, if I wanted to type the letter L it would show Z or the space bar😵😦😨😒 no fun. I walked away from the kindle after shutting it down and waited a day and it seemed it was back to normal but nope. It happened again. But I've found this link and now I'm at peace.🌈. Sorry for the long post here's a 🌽
