The premise of this wacky and outrageous manga is about Superman trying out various Japanese foods and his adventures in Japan.

If that sounds remotely interesting, grab this! The art is great, the characterization is awesome and Superman as a character and other DC characters translate REALLY well into the manga format. Kudos to the author and artist for taking such a wild idea and executing it so perfectly.

As a Superman fan, this is a must-own!

A manga take on Superman going around Japan sampling different foods. Fun and interesting to read! Definitely different from the usual fighting supervillains. It's a series of 3 books, I finished the entire series in a couple of days. Nice to have in your Superman collection if you're a fan!

I know it (food) is in the title (“Meshi”, meaning “Japanese food”), but it’s a little overbearing in this manga. No bad guys, no crime fighting, and the Justice League are just figureheads. It’s just Superman taking lunch breaks to restaurants in Japan and providing creep-ish commentary on his cuisine.
