Newt Conservation Partnership 
Surrey Project Officer

Salary: £27­- £31k per annum

Contract: Permanent contract

Location:  Home working, based in Surrey (essential)

Responsible to: Rosie Moss, Surrey & Sussex Team Lead, Newt Conservation Partnership

We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced, multi-skilled Project Officer who can deliver habitat creation and management projects, with a focus on ponds and great crested newt.

You will be able to engage and liaise with a variety of landowners and contractors and will have knowledge of pond and terrestrial habitat creation and restoration. Amphibian surveying skills are desirable. Training and expert support will be given to the right candidate. 

The successful applicant will be employed by the Amphibian and Reptile Conservation Trust, seconded full-time to the Newt Conservation Partnership.

The Newt Conservation Partnership is a community benefit society whose sole purpose is creating and managing high quality habitat for great crested newts. We source good quality habitat sites and work together with landowners so that ponds and terrestrial features, such as hedgerows, woodland and meadowland, can be securely managed into the future to provide long-term landscape scale refuges for sustainable newt populations
