Meet the team

David Hovenden, Editor-in-chief

Youngest of seven children, he’s got serious competition issues. Lifelong publisher, enthusiastic naturalist, traveller and rabid angler. Happiest when he’s terrified his own ideas will be his undoing.

Daniel Uglow, Editorial director

Travel journalist for 18 years. Set foot on all seven continents and both arctic circles. Now exploring adland.

Rosie Oakshott, Managing director

Started out at Retail Week in London before tackling large-scale expos around Australia. Rosie’s background gives her the nous to bring together B&T’s editorial, events and commercial vision.

Greg (Sparrow) Graham, Strategy director

Sparrow has been a mainstay of Australia’s advertising landscape for the past four decades, starting his career in the dispatch department of iconic advertising agency McCann. Among his innumerable achievements, he launched and led Mindshare in Australia in 1990 which led to a seven-year stint in New York as the agency’s marketing and new business director. He’s also held senior roles at GroupM and WPP and most recently launched his own agency and training consultancy, The Nest.

Tom Fogden, Editor

Tom is B&T’s editor and, while he has a background in technology and cars, he covers everything that helps brands connect with customers and the agencies and brands behind the work. He’ll also take any opportunity to grab a mic and get in front of the camera. Before joining B&T, Tom spent many long years in dreary London covering technology for Which? and Tech.co, the automotive industry for Auto Futures and occasionally moonlighting as a music journalist for Notion and Euphoria.

Sofia Geraghty, Senior reporter

Sofia is an award-winning B2B journalist with experience in investigative journalism and TV presenting. She worked as a journalist at the UK’s leading insurance publication before moving to TV presenting within financial services. She is passionate about equality and female empowerment and was awarded an industry-wide broadcast media award (and was shortlisted for another) for her work in promoting diversity within the insurance industry.

Aimee Edwards, Reporter

Aimee is a journalist and writer of all things media and advertising. Aimee is also a self-published author with a passion for stories with a focus on mental health, sport and the environment.

Arvind Hickman, Features and Analysis Editor

Arvind writes about anything to do with media, advertising and stuff. He is the former media editor of Campaign in London and has worked across several trade titles closer to home.
