Property flooding is not currently expected.
River levels remain high, but are falling slowly, on the River Windrush following recent rainfall. Therefore, flooding of low lying land and roads is expected to continue today, 31/10/24, especially in the Bourton on the Water and Newbridge areas.
The forecast today is dry, and conditions should remain settled for the next few days. We expect river levels to continue falling, but levels remain sensitive to rainfall. Avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses. We are monitoring the situation. Go to the 'River and Sea levels in England' webpage for current river levels. This message will be updated by tomorrow morning, 1/11/24, or as the situation changes.

Groundwater levels remain high in response to recent rainfall. Levels are expected to remain high and flooding of fields and roads is possible. Levels are reactive to further rainfall. No further rainfall is expected over the next few days.
Flooding of roads and fields is possible. Where groundwater is near the surface, intense rainfall will lead to surface water flooding.
Residents are advised to prepare property resilience measures and ensure that pumps are working where they have been installed. We will continue to monitor the situation closely.
