Kino Lorber are preparing a Blu-ray release of Élie Chouraqui's Harrison's Flowers (2000), starring Andie MacDowell, Elias Koteas, Brendan Gleeson, Adrien Brody, and David Strathairn. The release is scheduled to arrive on the market on November 19.
Description: Andie MacDowell (Groundhog Day) stars in Harrison's Flowers, a devastating love story set in the midst of a chaotic war. Harrison (David Strathairn, L.A. Confidential), is a Pulitzer Prize-winning photojournalist who goes missing during the Yugoslav Wars that led to the breakup of Yugoslavia. Harrison is presumed dead by his colleagues, but his wife Sarah, played with fierce intensity by MacDowell, believes that he is still alive, and that she is the only one who can save him. So she courageously plunges into the middle of battle, risking her own life as she engages in a relentless search to find her husband.

Not a perfect movie, but well worth the watch. It has some tough moments, but it carries the pace pretty well. Glad to see it getting some blu-ray love.
