Dark Force Entertainment will issue a standard retail 4K Blu-ray edition of Bill Rebane's The Giant Spider Invasion (1975), starring Steve Brodie, Barbara Hale, Robert Easton, Leslie Parrish, and Alan Hale Jr. The release is scheduled to arrive on the market on December 10.
Description: After a black hole strikes, it opens up another dimension in a rural Wisconsin town, and soon there is an invasion of gigantic arachnids who crave human flesh. NASA scientists Dr. Vance (Steve Brodie) and Dr. Jenny Langer (Barbara Hale) try their best to save humanity as a romance blooms between them. Yes! This is the VW spider! I saw this in Oakland when I was a kid and my brother and I went back two more times. Such a wild crazy B movie. I'll get this one for sure!
This is getting a 4K? That is friggin fantastic. Anything is possible folks. Now we need more B flick legends. Evil Toons. Lost Empire. PLAN 9 FROM OUTER SPACE! The Deathstalker movies. I’d buy all that stuff. I’d go get a paper route or get more work from my pimp if it meant affording a 4K Barbarian Queen Double Feature.
I'm looking forward to Dark Force Entertainment releasing Death Ship on 4K Ultra HD I can't wait for that one. As soon as they put it out I'll be placing my pre-order into the UK
