Find what you need

Switch to paperless billing and access your rate accounts anytime, anywhere, from your email account.

Council makes it quick and easy to pay your rates with a variety of payment options. Pay your rates using Council's online payment service or find out about other payment options. You can also choose to donate $15 to the Lord Mayor’s Charitable Trust to help those in need.

Pay bills, permit renewals, fines and infringements using Council's online payment service. You need a Visa or Mastercard to pay online direct to Council.

A surcharge may apply when using a credit or debit card. The surcharge does not apply to payments made using BPAY.

Starting from 1 December 2024 for commercial notices and 1 January 2025 for residential notices, Council will be implementing a new paper bill fee of $1.98 GST inclusive for all printed rates notices.

Council charges a Rate Account and Services Establishment Fee to establish a new rate account when a property transfers ownership. An exemption from the fee is available if you meet certain criteria.

Council offers rebates to eligible ratepayers, including pensioners.

Council applies a parity factor for Community Titles Scheme properties. This is used to apply a loading to the general rates component of a rate account.

Council has introduced rating categories for houses and units where an owner lives on a property and uses a room/s for paid guest accommodation and where an owner rents their property to paying guests and does not live there.
