This Expert Panel is currently inactive. Click here to learn about this designation.

The Colon Cancer Gene Curation Expert Panel was formed in 2015, and their initial scope of work included 42 gene-disease pairs thought to be associated with hereditary colorectal cancer and polyposis. The group completed evaluation of these genes in 2018, and their findings are described in Seifert et al., 2019 (PMID: 30523343). The Hereditary Cancer Gene Curation Expert Panel (HC GCEP) was formed and will be maintaining this curation, as described in the ClinGen recuration procedure, with input from the original Colon Cancer GCEP chairs and biocurators. For further information, please see https://www.clinicalgenome.org/affiliation/40023. For any questions, please contact the coordinator of the HC GCEP. Inactive date - 4/28/22
