Caitlin Clark fever continues in Indiana as Joey Chestnut sits courtside to watch latest win - one day on from HUGE Netflix announcement

As he watched Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever take on the Atlanta Dream, Joey Chestnut likely hoped that he could watch her feast on the competition like he does.

Unfortunately, most of her shooting was nothing but empty calories in an uncharacteristically off night that still ended with a 91-84 Indiana victory.

After enjoying the game, Chestnut spoke to On3 reporter Talia Goodman - addressing his recent 'ban' from the Nathan's Fourth of July Hot Dog Eating Contest after he decided to continue his sponsorship with a rival vegan hot dog manufacturer.

'I don't personally have any regrets,' Chestnut said. 'It's unfortunate that things... that contract negotiations became public.'

As for if there could be a way for him to work his way back into the field for the famous contest, he added: 'I'm very hopeful that things can be worked out. I'll be hungry.'

Chestnut also talked about Wednesday's big announcement that he would be taking on longtime rival Takeru Kobayashi in a live Netflix event on Labor Day weekend.

'I'm really excited about the Netflix contest,' Chestnut said. 'Kobayashi has been my biggest rival forever and I'm just really excited to be able to eat against him again.'

Clark finished her subpar performance with a final statline of seven points, four rebounds, six assists, two blocks, and seven turnovers on the night. She shot a poor 3-11 from the field and a paltry 1-6 from the 3-point range.

The bulk of the scoring came from teammates Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell.

Boston managed a double-double with a team high 27 points and 13 rebounds on the night. As for Mitchell, she managed 24 points, two boards, two assists, and two steals.

Atlanta was led by Rhyne Howard's 26 points on the night and had a seriously strong bench performance from Cheyenne Parker-Tyus - who put up 18 points, six rebounds, five assists, and three steals.

Indiana next plays at home on Sunday against the Chicago Sky.
