Corey Worthington has revisited his party boy past and the media frenzy that turned him into a household name.

The Melburnian became an overnight sensation in 2008 when he threw a wild party at his parent's home when he was just 16 years old.

After publicising the event on Myspace, a reported 500 revellers turned up and the carnage that ensued attracted police helicopters and the dog squad to the property.

Two days later, Corey did an interview with A Current Affair's Leila McKinnon about the party and its aftermath that would go down in Australian television history.

During the chat, Corey was unapologetic following the turn of events, as he stood on the street shirtless, in an open hoodie.

He completed his look with a white cap, and a pair of now-iconic yellow framed sunglasses.

'Why don't you take your glasses off so we can see you,' Leila asked during the chat.

'Nah, nah, I'll leave these on. I like them,' he replied.

It was just one of many media appearances, and the frenzy continued for some time.

'It was three days after the media started camping at my parents' house,' said Corey in footage shared to Instagram on Wednesday.

'I was just trying to go to Coles to get some food, and they would follow me halfway down my street.'

Worthington went on to describe the pressure he felt as a teenager, surrounded by reporters and without any parental guidance.

'They never treated me as the 16-year-old kid I was,' he went on.

Worthington says he now views the whole experience with a mix of disbelief and maturity, acknowledging the bizarre circumstances that thrust him into the spotlight as a minor.
