EastEnders fans were left seriously distracted after pointing out an “unscripted” moment on the beloved show.

The BBC soap returned to screens on Thursday (June 20) for its final episode of the week. The latest instalment saw the residents take part in a charity fundraiser talent show in memory of Lola Pearce.

As fans will recall, Lola was killed off from the soap last year following the character’s battle with a brain tumour. And in a bid to raise money, for her chosen charities, her family put together a fundraiser at the Queen Vic.

Stevie took to the stage at the talent show

But it’s fair to say Stevie and Mo’s routine had fans in tears - and some viewers claiming one moment was ‘unscripted’ due to the cast’s reaction.

On stage, Stevie and Mo put on a magic act, and things took a cheeky turn when Stevie offered to show everyone his elephant, before appearing to get easy to pull down his trousers.

The naughty comment had the whole pub in stitches of laughter, as Stevie was ushered off the stage. But fans watching at home are certain the comment was unscripted.

On an EastEnders Facebook fan page, one person said: “Oh how funny are Mo and Stevie. Their magic act was hilarious, if you’re not impressed by the rabbit I'll show you my elephant, the writers are awesome with their one-liners.”

Fans are certain the moment was 'unscripted'

Someone else replied: “It almost seemed unscripted given the reaction of the other cast members…. Brilliant.” A third said: " I've rewatched that part, I think you could be right, especially with Gina's reaction."

Echoing their thoughts, another chimed in on the platform and wrote: "They are so funny I love their humour and banter. Could romance possibly blossom for these two??? I hope so!!!!"

One fan noted how even the Phil Mitchell actor was 'trying not to break'

While on X, formerly known as Twitter, another fan wrote: “Stevie’s joke HAD to have either been ad-libbed on the spot, or covered up in the scripts. Because the reactions of everyone p*****g themselves laughing in the pub were FAR too real! Even McFadden was trying not to break!”

A second agreed: “I thought the exact same, solely based on Kellie's reaction. It's very her and not Linda.” A third penned: “Honestly she really did seem like she was cracking up for real!”
