FEMA’s Individual Assistance program is designed to help with disaster-related critical needs such as a safe, sanitary and functional place to live during your recovery from the Aug. 8 wildfires. FEMA also offers rental assistance for alternative housing if the fires made your home unlivable.
Survivors whose homes were lost or damaged by the Aug. 8 wildfires on Maui may be eligible for FEMA Transportation Assistance for travel to or from a temporary residence off the island. This assistance is primarily for survivors who qualify for FEMA’s Rental Assistance program. FEMA will contact you if you are eligible for Transportation Assistance.
