During yesterday’s Nintendo Direct, we learned that Suikoden I & II HD Remaster Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars would be heading to Switch on March 6th, 2025. Turns out that’s not the only Suikoden news there is to share, as a new figurine has been revealed by the gang at Good Smile Company.

Fans of Suikoden will be happy to know that Good Smile Company is working on a Tir McDohl Nendoroid, and you can see the concept art for the design above. This is literally the first news of this Nendoroid being in the works, so there’s no word on price point or release date at this time. It’ll likely be awhile until we hear that info, so you’ll have to hang tight.

Tir McDohl is the main protagonist and Tenkai Star of Suikoden. He is the son of Teo McDohl and the leader of the Liberation Army, following the death of the original leader, Odessa Silverberg. Tir appears as a calm and serious person and mostly quiet as the silent protagonist. (h/t Fandom)

Passion Republic Games has announced that GigaBash is getting the DLC characters R.O.J.A.K and Balzarr on Sept. 5th, 2024. This duo is part of the “Mighty” DLC pack, and each of them features unique movesets and abilities to dominate the arena.

Balzarr – Nicknamed the Demon Star, Balzarr is a new Titan that came to Earth from outer space as a blazing meteor. It is equipped with a powerful blade tail and high agility, which allows it to leap around the battlefield while cleaving its enemies into pieces. It can also enter its signature Predator Stance, allowing it to perch on walls and even on its own tail to unlock the use of more deadly abilities.

R.O.J.A.K. – Five minds in one body; R.O.J.A.K. is a battle mech controlled by an uncoordinated team of Mighty Warriors serving as mankind’s last line of defense against Balzarr. Chomp down your foes with your T-Rex torso, kick enemies into the sky with your cannon-powered boots, snipe foes from afar with your Dragon arm, launch Durian bombs at your enemies, and more. Landing an attack with each body part will allow the pilots to synergize and activate the mech’s full potential.

With the release of this new downloadable content release along with the past collaboration with the Tokusatsu genre titans such as Godzilla and Ultraman, GigaBash now has a grand total of 18 playable characters in its roster. So will you help the R.O.J.A.K. team protect humanity from this celestial invader, or will you play as Balzarr and unleash hell on Earth?

Did you know that the Tales of Series turns 30 in December 2024? As part of the 3-decade celebration, Bandai Namco has released a special video featuring General Producer Tomizawa-san. Tune in to watch Tomizawa talk about the history of the Tales of Series, along with the just-revealed Tales of Graces f Remastered!

Tales of Graces f Remastered is a remaster of the classic JRPG from Namco Bandai, first released in 2009 for the Nintendo Wii. This remaster is set to arrive on Switch January 17th, 2025.

As Asbel Lhant, you’ll venture once again to the planet Ephinea on a journey to stop an escalating war between three kingdoms vying for control. Originally released on the Wii system, this RPG classic returns with improved graphics and auto-save features sure to delight existing fans and newcomers to the series alike.

Publisher eastasiasoft is releasing SokoPenguin on the Switch today. The title is priced at $5 and takes up 72 mb of space.

A chill puzzle adventure awaits in SokoPenguin, a top-down pixel art block-sliding game where you take the role of a cute penguin and overcome a wide variety of single-screen challenges to help him reach his igloo! Master 100 levels of gradually increasing complexity as you slide power blocks onto their corresponding switches to power a drawbridge, then proceed to the goal!

Platform 8, the sequel to The Exit 8, has been announced for Switch. The walking simulator game from developer Kotake Create and publisher Playism will be released on November 28th, 2024 alongside a physical copy that includes both games. There is no word on if Platform 8 will be released in the west, but given that The Exit 8 is available worldwide, it seems like only a matter of time.

UPDATE: Platform 8 has been confirmed for worldwide release on Nov. 28th, 2024, matching up with the Japanese release date shared hours ago. Along with that, a physical double pack that includes both The Exit 8 and Platform 8 will also be released for the Switch on Nov. 28th, 2024 as well. Finally, all first-run copies will include a special bonus in the form of a set of 8 posters that appear in the games. You can see the posters in the gallery below.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky is getting a Switch remake, and it’s titled The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky the 1st. You can see the premiere trailer for this title above.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky the 1st is a turn-based RPG saga that sets you on a journey to find a missing father and exterminate dangerous beasts. The title is set to arrive sometime in 2025.

Hailed as one of the largest, longest and most meticulously detailed turn-based JRPG series of all time, this first chapter in the ongoing Trails saga sets the stage for what’s quickly become Ys developer Nihon Falcom’s most popular and best-selling franchise in their entire 30+ year history.

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom is coming to Switch on September 26th, 2024. Ahead of that release, Nintendo has started to share teaser videos for the game on social media. Today brings us a clip showcasing the Gerudo Desert, and you can give it a watch above.

Publisher Bandai Namco recently confirmed that SWORD ART ONLINE Fractured Daydream will be released worldwide on Switch on Oct. 4th, 2024. Before then though, those interested in giving the game a go will be able to check out the SWORD ART ONLINE Fractured Daydream “Open Network Test,” which runs Sept. 20th to 22nd, 2024. Grab a friend or 20 and adventure together across the map in Co-op mode before challenging high difficulty raid bosses The Skull Reaper and Sword Golem!

SWORD ART ONLINE Fractured Daydream has been confirmed to be a cross-platform compatible game with no loot boxes, and it supports up-to-20-player co-op. The dev team specifically set out to test cross-platform and online co-op functionality to make sure they could get everything working perfectly on all platforms, and obviously those tests were a success.

Following the recent beta test, the devs also noted some changes that will be implemented in the final game. In the final release, you’ll be able to turn automatic lock-on off, Goddess Statues will appear, difficulty will be based on how many players you’re with, and offline Story Mode and online Free Mode will be available. Last but not least, another beta test could happen at some point.

In SWORD ART ONLINE Fractured Daydream, a new system is applied to the world of Alfheim Online, but a malfunction causes all worlds and timelines to collide, creating a unique setting and challenging environment for Kirito and other players. All lost in uncharted territory, enemies become allies, departed characters are back and unlikely alliances will be formed to survive the dangers in this unsettled world.

SWORD ART ONLINE Fractured Daydream offers an original story in an All-Star game, focused on a large-scale co-op experience. Players will enjoy playing their favourite characters from the first three seasons of the animated series and Sword Art Online movies, in a cross-play battle action game featuring thrilling boss raids and co-op quests.
