At the time I was actually reading up on Ponzi schemes and had hoped to include him in that type of scandal, but those began a decade or so later. He was an interesting character—in my head, anyway. In the beginning I saw him as a wealthy, womanizing con, but he didn't have too ugly a heart. But he sure didn't like having a "nobody" like Danny upsetting any of his plans, and things escalated.(less)
