Circumstance is a human Inner Colony planet in the Epsilon Eridani system, famous for its universities and courts of justice.[3]

Rise of humanity[edit]
Interest for possible colonization in the Epsilon Eridani system originally focused on Tribute and Circumstance, though that would change to Reach.[6] Circumstance would be settled in 2364.[2]
Human-Covenant war[edit]
By July 2552, Circumstance was a destination listed at the Manassas Spaceport.[7]
When the Epsilon Eridani system was invaded by the Covenant in the summer of 2552, most of the population centers on Circumstance were destroyed.[8] The planet likely survived at some point after the invasion.[2]
Government and society[edit]
Circumstance possessed a rich industrial depth, thriving population, famous interstellar courts, educational facilities, and theaters.[9]
